Project Resistance Offline Story Mode Confirmed to Satisfy Resident Evil Fans
Last week, we reported on the response from Capcom over Resident Evil fan outcries after the reveal of Project Resistance, an asymmetric multiplayer survival horror experience set in the Resident Evil universe. Fans weren't happy because they wanted that singleplayer, survival horror experience and were hoping for another mainline entry or maybe a Resident Evil 3 Remake. Now, Capcom has revealed that there will be an offline mode focused on the story to appease fans.

In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, producer Masachika Kawata revealed that Project Resistance will indeed feature an offline story mode. This comes after only the multiplayer aspect was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2019 earlier this month.
Mr Kawata explains that:
That's a great move by Capcom as hopefully, this will satisfy the fans who are looking for a story experience. In the new post, we also learned that there will be more than one Mastermind that players can control to take out others by placing zombies, traps and even controlling the Tyrant in a top-secret experiment facility on the outskirts of Racoon City.
It remains to be seen how the offline story mode will go down with Resident Evil fans and at the time of writing, no further details have been shared by Capcom or Masachika Kawata.
